The bonnet locks are primitive and temperamental at best but can help by stopping the bonnet rising at speed.
Original coil but the resistor and bracket I don’t think is.

Thanks Clay. I will get around to having a look at the FB-EK forum, but just don't have the time right now. If I track down another belt in the same material as the rest, the Hemco is yours.

Suit EK EJ and obviously needs paint. It looks like the plating is showing brass through on top.
Anyway it is surplus to my needs so it’s all yours in lieu of services rendered if you want it. Just PM me your address.

Yep. Thanks Clay. That is what I am looking for. It is probably in a little worse shape than my existing one, but at least this way I can have a crack at restoring the plastic back to its red colour and still have a spare if I cock it up. I will need to find a translucent red paint to achieve this. Let me know what postage is worth.

I did a front badge many years ago, but the silver lettering was still intact. So it was pretty easy. How they were originally done was that the letters and pips were filled with a masking compound before painting with burgundy red. Then the masking element was cleaned out and the silver was painted over the back. Otherwise though, I reckon it would almost be easier to fill the letters in silver first, using a fine brush and a steady hand.

I'll cover the postage, mate.

The chrome finish in the letters and pips is different to the silver painted over the entire back of the emblem.
When I investigated getting LJ Grille emblems made back in the 80's I was told by industry experts the chrome finish was 'hot foil'.

Hold off for the moment if you haven't already sent it Clay. I just came across a bloke on Facebook who has made some repo ones. I'm just waiting on a reply from him to answer if he has any left.
Hot foil pens are only 30 bucks, so I will grab one as it could be handy for dash parts and the like. Looking at how it works though, it could be a bit difficult using it in a recessed situation.
