Looking for a period correct tach for the FB and picked this up for $10 at local swap.85cf3ecf5e8733c2cd2cf3ec508ce468.jpgTested tails 0.008 ohms at board all good. However wired it up and doesn't work. Maybe why it was $10 at local swap.

Wired green to coil neg dissy output. Red getting +12V tested. Tried negative to both cylinder head and battery. I have a good earth between body and battery and it is VH electronic coil. 12V at coil. I also tried the cylinder selector switch in different positions.

If I can't get it working I may have to buy a fascia mount one and fit to the pod. Any informed advice please?

That tacho looks like it's been messed with.  The pointer is in the wrong position.

Thanks Chris,
I thought it might flick to zero when powered up but doesn’t flinch. Board looks clean, no soot or melted anything. Nothing obvious to say it had ever been apart before. Possibly it has been connected incorrectly and fried a diode though?

Clay, it could be any number of causes.  Need it looked at.  If you don't have anyone local you can trust, you can send it to me and I'll test it.
