guys,
anyone have any info on how to adjust the front door lock for the inside handle. My external handle works fine but the inside one even though I move it through its full travel it wont move enough to open from the inside. I have this problem on both front doors. I pulled trim off and had a look but am buggered if I can see anywhere to adjust it. Anyone got any exp or advice on this one? thanks...oh yeah its a LH SLR/5000

Sounds like the clip has fallen off that holds the rod between the handle and the rod to the lock itself.

rob i have never done a lh but get a pair of pliers and twist the rod a bit to shortin it and it should solve the problem

am guessing by the pic that its Pat replying? The rod is there...the mechanism all moves its just not moving far enough to unlock the door...I'll try again tomorrow in the daylight...thanks for the reply.

OK, it's usually that whenever my internal lock tops working. Do a test when you pull it out, see if the lock will unlock without the handle by pulling on the wire/rod. Any tell tale signs of where on the lock or plastic retainer clip?

think I have worked out whats going on. coz its dropped is why the inside handle wont travel far enough. once i replace the pins and readjust the door fingers crossed it should just start working. i'll keep ya posted
