Hi guys it’s been a few years since an update as I was locked out of Thailand for 3 years because of Corvid but was finally able to get back six months ago for a quick trip, reclaim my car from the first shop and get a second shop to get it finally running. Still heaps to do but great to have it in my garage.
It’s still needs a Big Brake Upgrade to stop Her now. 383 stroker built and fitted. Any suggestions on kits that will fit standard stubs and it’s fitted with 18 in wheels, still not 100% on them. Thanks

Thanks RallyRed, yes with having a lot more car sites on FB now Expats are able to get to all these classics tucked away in sheds and yards. Even had a LC GTR roller at one stage but I swapped it. Next is to get on the road a LC 4 door with original motor etc with auto I found for my Wife, was stored away for 10 years before I got it as the previous owner dies. His family said he bought it new.

I can’t help with the big brake kit for yours. Hoppers Stoppers provided mine for my LJ. That’s running 290mm vented discs on standard stubs, but swapped left to right.  I am sure they did a 330mm version. They were really helpful.

And your car sitting in 18’s looks awesome.

Thanks 4dabush, I will edit my post and ask the question about brakes in the right section. If I was in Aus I would of had Hotwire wheels fitted. 15 in tyres are hard to get in Thailand I was told.

Yes, I found the same when I was looking for tyres for my car…15’s had little choice now.  16’s were better which is where I went.  Hoppers kit is a bolt on to standard stubs, included all brackets, bolts, hubs, bearings, discs, calipers and hoses and instructions. It was about $1800. Shipping was a bit, as it’s a heavy kit…probably 40kgs. . hubs can be any stud pattern. If you go that way make sure your pattern and studs match!  (Ie lots of 9inch conversions use 1/2 studs, where standard is 7/16.). So you could end up with the same stud pattern but still end up with mismatched nuts! And if you are running Simmons Wheels, let them know, although 18’s shouldn’t be a problem. They say 15’s will be.

Remember the James Bond movie, The Man with The Golden Gun?

There is a car chase in Bangkok.

Note a few Toranas in it there! From memory, there was a TA and an LC.
