Been working on an SLR gauge cluster and discovered the illumination diffusers are clear, not blue like usual.

Thy are absolutely factory original, never been changed.

I've never seen one like this.  Does anyone have an idea how this came about.

The only answer I can reach is it might be ex police and the clear diffusers so they could read the gauges better at night.

I have only pulled LH white needle clusters apart, all had blue diffusers. Is this perhaps an LX yellow needle thing? Ie the blue diffusers made the yellow needles harder to read with ‘blue’ lighting so it was changed to clear at some stage?

Yes it's an LX cluster.

On a bit of a separate matter, if anyone needs any diffusers, or any other parts (fuel gauges, speedos, globe holders etc.) let me know as I've got heaps.

Typically base model stuff. But I think I have some hybrid clusters so may have sports cluster specific parts.

So, no SLR type casings, small gauges or tachos..?

Even dials, movements etc.

I have a genuine LH L34 Tacho if any one is in need of one.
no 4,6,8 switch on back. Set up for 4 cylinder

I doubt my L34 will ever turn up after being stolen so I might as well let it go to a genuine L34 owner.

How much do you want for it..?
