Is it just an SS or is it a Brock car (Group 1/2/3)?
Probably unlikely to work but you could try HSV: https://www.hsv.com....n/authenticate/

Thanks Andrew, group 2 SS
That's probably a good indicator, if someone was gonna fake one they would almost certainly go for a Group 3!
There's heaps of ways to tell by inspecting the car itself, the SS had a lot of SL/E bits but changed-up a few things, making them unique.
To start with, the VH SS was only ever offered in Maranello Red or Alabaster White.
They had the same stainless windscreen key strips front and rear as the SL/E but anodised black instead of the chrome looking ones on the SL/E. They also had the SL/E rear bumper & tail light extensions and rear headrests.
The grilles were different as well but you probably wouldn't noticed if you didn't have two side-by-side (the upright 'struts' were beefier to stop the grille 'flaps' closing at higher speeds).
As for any changes PB made that were specific to the Group 2, I'm sure there would be a ton of info on the net, somewhere!

HDT have records of all cars built and do verification Paul. In fact they do a much better job than Holden or HSV ever did. The certificate has a hologram that can't be duplicated, and you also recieve a HDT keyring with your build number on it. https://hdt.com.au/
