Please Help me if you can…

Wondering if by chance somebody currently has the crossmember dismantled from their LJ, As after tearing the garage apart 2–3 times I’ve finally found the 12 large washers for radius rods, crossmember into k-frame etc. and alignment shims that are taped together in sets and marked with correct location…

But unable to locate the 20 or so bolts to reassemble the crossmember back into car.. I’m needing just 1 of each bolt, associated washers and nuts ( either new or old ) so that I can measure for purpose of sourcing all new items to bolt everything back onto the K-Frame / crossmember…

Happy to buy an old set and then return them after a week or 2 once I’ve used them for measurements ie:: Lengths & diameter.. I really only need 1 of each bolt, washer & nut if required, plus indication of the amount of those bolts thats required to rebuild this part for my “what’s now turning into a longer than long term project”

Any Help Will Be Greatly Appreciated…

Kind Thanks..

Whale/Oil…

Thank You Kindly Dave, I can buy a few different bolts via fleaBay but they must be gold plated as prices are crazy and they don’t have many… Martin / sibhs sent me pictures of complete front member exploded view with locations of all bolts so that was huge help & also told me there was a guy selling complete sets for $125 via Facebook Torana buy, swap n sell but neither one of us is able to locate the post so I’m still in same position that I’ve been for months now = Up crap creek without a paddle…

I got mine from a specialised fastener shop. (Morisset NSW) I'm sure they would be elsewhere as well. Way cheaper than eBay. https://www.advantagefasteners.com.au/

Yes Ian this is exactly what I had planned, Just need an old bolt of each and I’m heading out to buy new… Don’t suppose you have the purchase receipt there so I can just buy new from the indicated dimensions etc. ? Or even 1 of each of your old bolts ? Thanks to Martin / sibhs I have detailed pictures of where they all belong…

If you get part numbers for each bolt I can give you the specs, they are all listed in the HQ parts cattle dog.

That’s right I require almost every bolt pictured… I know originals are non existent but same length or even a lil longer won’t bother me… The only bolts I do have here are the bolts that hold ball joints in place as I purchased new Moog joints and they’re supplied… So that’s 8 of the pictured bolts Not Required… I also have the 4 longest bolts that hold K-Frame into Sub-Frame through the insulation tubes…

Again with kind thanks Hoodoo Guru’s…

Here are the HQ common ones with specs. Will check HK-HG later:

180153 – not in HQ

120395 – washer, flat 15/32” x 59/64” x 0.65” (cad or zinc).

9422299 – Nut hexagon self locking. 7/16” – 14.

9428643 – Bolt – pully to crankshaft HQ 350. No bolt spec given.

445536 – Not in HQ.

9430515 – Not in HQ

9422301 – Not in HQ.

SP2129 – Not in HQ.

9422278 – Not in HQ.

Found those not in HQ:

180153 - Bolt, hexagon head. 7/16" - 14 x 2" (cad or zinc).

445536 - Bolt, hexagon head. 1/2" - 13 x 5.25" (zinc).

9430515 - Bolt but cannot find. Alternative to 445536 anyway so no matter.

9422301 - Nut, hex lock. 1/2" - 13

SP2129 - Bolt, hexagon head. 3/8" - 24 x 3" (cad or zinc)

9422278 - nut. 3/8" - 24 (cad)

187543 - Bolt, hexagon head. 7/16" - 14 x 4.5" (zinc).

7205937 - Washer, brace. 0.46" x 1.90" x 0.12".

181407 - Bolt, hexagon head. 7/16" - 20 x 2.25"

9422280 - nut, self locking. 3/8" - 24 (cad).

BOLTS: these are thread first, thread per inch second and length last. So for example 3/8" - 16 x 3/4" is 3/8" thread, 16 threads per inch and 3/4" long.

WSHERS are OD, ID and thickness.

NUTS are thread and TPI.

If you have any more trouble I can probably scan the pages that show the example images of each.

Just remembered,

some bolts are rated by the tensile strength marks on the head.

This bolt is one of the top 4 that holds the K-Frame to the chassis rails:

This is a tensile strength chart:
