Is there a consensus on the best/most accurate bailey channel for the LJ?

Well, i dunno - i bought Rares Bailey rubber for my LJ last year, turned out tighter than the stuff that was in there.... couldnt wind the window.
Took it back for a refund, even though I cut it to fit.

I refitted what was originally in there...which was from Betta Auto Rubber, not that i condone whats already fitted as perfectly good either.

Its probably all made in the same factory anyway.

I luckily didn’t have any problems fitting my bailey channel, there can be a couple of issues as to why the window won’t go up easily. Sometimes the frame can be slightly pulled in or out , preventing the glass from sliding up and down easily. Also there is an adjusting screw at the base of the quarter window channel through the door which pulls the channel in or out. I’ve also found a little silicone spray on the bailey channel helps too.Cheers Paul.

Hi all

 

Last time I tried to change the bailey channel, I tried Rares, Betta and Clark Rubber. All were useless. I ended up putting the 40 year old original stuff back in. Unfortunately it's too far gone now, so looking for a suitable alternative.
