Looking for brake caliper ideas for something i have been working on
Calipers need to fit a 257mm Ø x 25mm thick rotor and also a different set of calipers for a 285mm Ø x 28mm rotor .
For the 257mm rotors none of the stock Holden calipers fit good , the only type that has bolted up and was a good fit was the HX slide calipers .
Clearance on the back of the hub and steering arms / tie rod end is the main problem
For the 285mm rotors i haven't bought them yet but they will fit the same hub and have the same offset and stuff as the 257mm rotors
Initially was thinking camry calipers but they have the problem of the way they bolt up
The calipers need to fit the the same way the stock ones do by bolting on from the back but can have a different bolt spacing
Here is some pictures of a test fit of the 257mm rotors that i did using a stock rotor machined for a hub
Plan to make a better hub out of billet but first need to find good calipers to make it worth it
