Hi All

Is there a way to put your VIN # in some site (Holden) and get all the ORIGINAL Specificans of your car and when it was manufactured and where?

Thanks John

For late model stuff ( in my case VX) your Holden dealer could enter it and give you the whole 9 yards on a sheet of paper.
But I guess that's all over.

Thought the LC/LJ so called Vin list, could givevyou that BETSBAC ( or whatever it is) that reveals some stuff?

The LC Service/Warranty report is around but it isn't online. All it'll tell you is what model the LC was, what mechanical options it was built with and sometimes the engine and transmission numbers. The completion date, warranty commencement month and the credited selling dealer code (or cost centre) will normally be recorded in that database report printout from September 1972 which was transferred to Microfiche in mid 1978. But that is it. All of the other build information that was in the IBM360 Mainframe Vehicle Master Listing is no longer available, probably hasn't been since the early 80's. It is unknown if GMH ever saved it to other storage media or just left the magnetic tapes rot. A9X owners are lucky as there was a different report run for them and it is widely published.
