I’m ready to install engine and box. When I’ve bedded in the cam I’ll let you know.

Started priming the the clutch and soon discovered that I hadn’t tightened the speedpro hose union at the slave cylinder.b9530ef4d00439699cba825a24b9d573.png
80s disco with the blue brake fluid. Mal specifies dot4, so bled up the brakes with the same. Pedal feels nice. Still a bit to do before fire up.

Driveline is up and running now. I would say that the new clutch setup is faultless, except that I started noticing a slight judder when queuing at the local drive in bottle shop this arvo.

When I was bedding in the new cam I noticed the gearbox spewed out 100ml of oil through the front input. I just hope it won't frOck the lining up. Maybe I should give it a bit of a warm up.

Investigating som3 intermittently noise from the clutch, yes already. It has done 420 miles. I must have measured clearance to thrust face at least four times, and even dummy assembled the driveline with plasticine to confirm. But now the bearing is just riding on the fingers. I am going to try and slip the box back and wreck out a spacer from the input shaft to remedy.

As the clutch plate wears in, it will need re-adjusting.

Yes, possibly a shortcoming of the setup. Anyway, I did manage to extract a shim and put things back together ready for a drive today. I hope the intermittent noise goes away………..

I cut it with a punch and chisel against the cast oil slinger retainer boss. I re-adjusted at the pedal and it feels good. I hope the noise goes away……
