My LH workshop manual shows a singular screw, but parts books show two screw. The LX parts book is the same.
My car 10/75 is two screw.

It is not an often photographed area. I have no pictures of them in 1975 LH.

1/75 BLH two screws.
So probably with the other changes in Sept '74.

Its probably looking that way. I wonder if thats also when the bonnet hinge springs went from ochre to grey?

I don't know why they used that ochre on the early LH's. The HQ's used the grey, and so did HJ.

Probably to distinguish between the big holden and torana.

They use the same hinge, but not sure about the spring. I wouldn't have thought there would be much difference in weight between a HQ bonnet and an LH one.

1 screw.
Lots of these were drilled to accept the 2 screw vents over the years.

It might be a leverage thing as much as weight? Longer bonnet on a Holden/Statesman?

Well that blows my theory out of the water.
