I took the Oil Sender off this morning and as per advice I soaked it in Kero in a sealed container and gave it a good shake.
Then taped in on the workbench and a spray of compressed air. I was surprised with the old oil that came out with each tap, although only a few drops each time. But it added up.
Did this many times over.
Fitted it again with thread tape and started the engine. Well, instant response at the gauge. Normally I have to wait many seconds before the gauge moves.
Gave her a rev and instant response on the oil gauge. Normally it doesn't really move unless I'm on the motorway at speed.
Thanks Dave and Clay
