Is there a truck to removing these in a Holden 308?

I’ve undone the bolt at the extractors and am just trying to pull it out by hand as there doesn’t seem to be any more bolts anywhere. I’ve tried spraying wd40 on it.

Should it just pull out?

Because they are bent around stuff to get to the sump they are hard to pull straight up. Try rotating and wiggling it a bit until it comes lose.

This is assuming you have a standard style and not some custom threaded or bolt in type like many of the aftermarket chev ones.

^ Yeah they are supposed to just pull out, should be able to twist it to help. I've seen people put sealant on them which can make life difficult.

Thanks all, it’s not coming out so it’s staying in there until I remove the engine. I’m about to replace the engine.
