Wanted to buy.

I thought they were the same as Holdens, but the LH and LX Torana door mirrors have a different shaped gasket. The angle you can see from the end on shot is not present on the Holden ones because the shape of the door is different. The aftermarket ones are all of the Holden type.  Mine is still usable, but it has a chunk missing from it and would like to get a good one if there are any out there. 

I am having trouble finding an RH exterior mirror in the HQ parts book to compare the part number.

I'll look in HJ-HZ books for you. Somewhere in my shed would be (or at least would have been) Torana mirrors and seals off my hatchback. No idea where though. There were a pair of mirrors with those plastic bits attached with tie wire still inside the LH SLR5000 body that went to Greg at ClassicOzWreck to be cutup for rust repair sections, but its remainder was scrapped a few years ago. When I'm up on the mezzanine next I'll have a look at one of the shelves and see if there are mirrors up there still.

From a scanned copy of a HJ parts manual. It doesn't have a cover in the pdf so I don't know what issue date the manual is

Well that confirms it.  Now who has one lying around?  I suppose no one will want to give them up now. Ah well. Time to hit ebay.

Im sure when I bought my NOS LH mirror it came with a packet of a few NOS rubber pads. Was so long ago. Ill have a poke around but I just cannot recall now.

Just saw this post and thought I’d check my LH for ya, pulled it off the car and it turns out she’s actually got an HJ left hand side mounting pad.. haha

No mirror on either of those right hand front doors Datto. I will have another look in the loose stuff.

Hi Laurie I went through my spare parts at home, the only LH one I have is damaged unfortunately, a piece missing and a crack at one end.

You can have it for the cost of postage if it's any good to you. Not sure if it could be plastic welded, probably only good for a sample if you were to try and get some 3D printed.
