This looks like fun,

I see Heath is going, anyone else likely to give it a try?

I'm pretty keen, unfortunately its about an 11 hours drive but there doesn't appear to be anything else like it anywhere near me.

Cheers, Tom

I was keen until I saw the entry price. It’s a bit rich for me this year but I’ll probably go as a spectator and support Heath in some way.

Hey Tom,

I'm mega keen for this... I had sooo much fun there last year and being a little later in the year it may not be quite as ridiculously smoking hot weather, haha!

Good events sometimes need a lot of driving. Peter (^ I hope!?) and I will be doing an 11+ hour trip to come to Toranafest later in the year, so it's only fair you drive down to Calder for the Optima weekend, lol.

The entry price is significant but this isn't the kind of event where you're sharing the track with other vehicles... cramming them into a crowded track to lower the entry price or only getting 3x 15sec runs down a drag strip. I do love the fact that it's multi-displinary with the varied tests throughout the event. I've never done anything else where you do multiple activities like this and found that super enjoyable, personally.

Because they've used my car in some of the promotions and stuff I've got a referral link for entering the event here, if you guys would like to use it:

http://tickets.oztix...ff?accessCode=3

Look forward to seeing some forum members there!

Cheers

I am pretty keen too, have been since seeing the videos you posted after last year.

NSSCC have tarmac rally sprint series and it is $345 per round so although the Optima is $450 it still seems like good value and a track day anywhere is $200 and above.

I went to the Summernats Slam event in Sydney a few years ago, it was mostly burnouts and drag racing but I had a few goes on the Motorkhana course which was a lot more fun than drag racing for me.

Will click that link when I am 100%

I have entered, was keen since I saw Heath's post about it last year.

Price has changed and it's now $300
For that price there should be lots more entries so if you're thinking about it, get involved.

Cheers, Tom
