I have a 308 in an LX.

Bracket for clutch fluid resovior is welded to the firewall. My rocker covers sit about a millimetre under it.

As I’m swapping engine and new engine requires taller rocker covers due to roller rockers, is there anything I can do to get the engine to sit lower like thinner engine mounts or something?

Or should I grind the bracket off and relocate?

The clutch fluid bracket seems to be in the same spot as factory and I’m wondering if this clearance issue is a common problem.

Cheers.

You could try HQ engine mounts, they will drop the engine down around 10mm.

Use a standard clutch setup?

As above try HQ-WB engine mount adapters. You might end up with exhaust clearance issues but if you aren't using extractors should be OK. There is no factory hydraulic clutch setup.

Could switch to an underdash hydraulic system.

Thanks all. Ok so maybe this is a custom thing that was put on when the supra 5 speed was put in.

The car has extractors so that might be an issue.

I don’t understand why someone would weld it to the firewall.
