Can anyone help me as to where approx the hole was drilled for the wiring to the reverse switch on gearbox - I was thinking on side of transmission tunnel opposite switch location.

Things are moving at glacial pace but hopefully will start to pick up a bit. Thanks in advance

This is what a Holden W body looks like (HQ-WB). Not sure if the Nuns had it in the same place though.

This is an LJ S. The hole size varies from 14-15mm? Maybe drilled on production line?

Is it drilled or punched? I'd say it was possibly done in the body plant after electrostatic primer or early in the assembly plant. Same time the hole was cut for the shifter. If Pagewood and Dandenong look different to Acacia Ridge and Elizabeth that will give the answer. Is the shifter hole oxy cut like a W body?

It might be 9/16" regardless.

I got my measurements of this forum. Probably from RODOMO as above.

At a guess I'd say it was drilled but the drill bit bit in and stalled the drill (if that males sense?)  Car is a Brisbane build. Gear shift hole is pretty rough.

I lean towards the holes for LC& LJ console shift and reverse light harness were punched.
