hi, ever since i finished rebuilding my car with the rear vn disc brake setup and hz fronts, thye brakes dont work the best, as if there isnt enough pressure to the calipers, it gets a bit scary at times when it wont stop, all the calipers have been rebuilt, as has the proportioning valve, what might it be?

are you running a big cam? if so you probably have very little vacum for your brakes and need a vacum reservoir

I have the same thing happening on my car

hopper stoppers kit front (au ford twin pot caliper) and vr rear brakes.
Cam is mild, big vaccum. I've bleed the brakes twice rear and front but the pedal still feels soft and has a fair bit of travel.. but I can lock the brakes up quite easily if I put enough pressure on the pedal

Don't you have to take out that olive in the rear brake line of the m/cyl.Dattoman has mentioned it before.

I'd suggest with your motor it would be a vacuum issue. Do a test on the manifold vacuum and see what figures you get. I've recently had the same problem with my car and fitted a vac tank, has fixed the problem right up.

Vacuum Tank Topic

Car is at the transmission place at the moment, I'll get some pics of what I ended up doing when it gets back. I ended up mounting it where the washer bottle normally sits.

Cheers,
