I currently have a set of hub adaptors to take torana stud pattern to commodore stud pattern ( changes offset as well ). Now these are adaptors, not spacers, which have 5 holes to bolt onto the original hub and there are 5 studs to hold the correct commodore wheel.
My question is 'Are adaptors legal?'
Ive heard so much saying that spacers are illegal and hub adaptors are legal but have never really seen it in writing. Ive found a good rta rules page http://www.rta.nsw.g.../vsi09_rev4.pdf that states that
Now this states adaptors for dual wheel conversions, not for different stud patterns. Im going to email [email protected] to see what they say. Does anyone have any more info? The fitment of wheel spacers (or adaptors for dual wheel conversions) between the wheel mounting face
and the road wheel is not permitted unless fitted as original equipment by the vehicle manufacturer.
