I deglazed my brakes by getting emery cloth onto the surface of the pads then put grease on the back of the pads....and still after a week they are squealing like a pig on its rags......what do i do next???? get the discs machined cos they were machined just recently too........

Putting grease on the back of the pad will do nothing to stop squeal and infact could swell your dust seal and if you slop enough of it around you could possibly wreck the piston seal.

You need to glue the pads to the piston and slide with CRC anti squeal..its orange..from Ripco.

yeah i have used that CRC anti squeal and it kept on coming back before the grease and still ended up squealing.....it is definetly the pads ....cos i can see that they are glazed and i make it go away with emery cloth and still squeal....so something needs to be done about the Pads or Discs....i say Discs

What pads are you using? I would change pads first..much cheaper.

Maybe try a softer pad, I'll aways use bendix pads and never seem to have any trouble with them.

Cheers Cheers
