Yep few mates have done it over here... chop radiator support panel out and they fit straight in... All the normal things like engine/gearbox mounts will need to be changed... if you a run a trimatic a standard gemini auto tailshaft will bolt up...

Hope this helps

Dan

i had some pics arround sumwhere of a green gemini with a 350 chev in it., that would make more sence to put in , or 308 as it shorter.
my mate had a 202 in a gemini , he got a yellow for it. , it was soo dodgy.

Evan..

or you can recess the firewall to get them in.
I reckon a commo V6 would be the go, with a S/C of course! what a sleeper that would make!

hehe i suggested the radiator support chop as thats what the mates did... hell of alot quicker then cutting and welding steel into a firewall

what about a Leyland alloy V8 (think they were something like 4.4lt) Coz its alloy it dont weigh much so it should still actually handle. I used to be in motor racing car club and one of they guys had a 240Z with one in it. It went like the proverbile shower of *&^% and used to win every race it went in at Winton. Interesting thing was that it weighed less than the original 6cyl he pulled out of it. Now dont know if this bits true but someone once told me you can use 186 pistons in them.

Parts are too hard to get a hold of Rob

A mate was going to put a rover v8 into a gemini and encountered the same problems...

i did have a vn an a gemini that i was gonna put the v6 into, but was told it would cost to much so i got rid of them both an brought my 186. an have been having heaps of trouble finding a lj 2door shell.

a mate said a work 186 in a gemini will go heaps hard. an i know where a shell is so if he sell it i wanna put the motor in it.

Apparently Camira brakes bolt straight on, and they are bigger than the Gemini ones, there is also a Hoppers kit for the Gemini

V6 is legal in a gemini in all states

EDIT: you still need engineers cert

A V8 is also possible but chassis mods will need to be made!
