Paint removal

I'd like to remove the old paint from the back of this park lamp holder without wrecking the plastic. Any suggestions?

I'd use a rag soaked in lacquer thinners to clean the paint off then give it a soak in some window cleaner to remove any dirt then a wash in clean water and then dry with some compressed air.

Thanks pete, it did the trick. Both sides done and on the car. One less thing to do.
