Back. Give us a bit to coordinate all the stuff. Top effort by Dave (Flatliner) and the two WA guys for flying across to the service.

We were early in the line, and attended the service inside the Cathedral, which was good, although you probably saw more of the proceedings from outside/TV, but that wasn't the point.

Unfortunately for me i am on night shift, or i would have blown the shift to stay home & watch the funeral on tv.
My missus comes home at 11:15 & sees me on the lounge with tears streaming down the face. First thing she says is " Have you got a welding flash?"
I just pointed to the tv. Big sook me!
Sadly missed, never forgotten.

Well what can I say over 32hrs with no sleep but well worth the effort to get there at 5:30am and be first in line with two other fans from Perth before five others jumped infront of us but was not there to cause agro, so let it slide.
We also were lucky enought to get inside the church for the service and that experience of being in there with all those people I will keep for the rest of my life and also one day share with my son Brock when he is older.
Thanks Yella SLR (sorry can not remember your name) for saying Hello.
I was also lucky enough to meet Mort and some other of Brockys mates, co drivers and mechanics from the good old days when he raced Toranas and also from the Repco rally days at the pub across the road and it was fantastic to listen to their stories of their times with Brocky over a couple of coldies, could have stayed there all night but had to catch plane home.
All in all I am very glad that I made the effort to go.
Cheers Rob

Yes and she was also on the front page of todays paper over here at the service.
I also saw her carrying her grandson into the church when the family arrived.

when you mentioned that you drove a Commodore down, I was worried that you took the VN Pat, I wasnt sure if you would make it back!

The VN would a been right mate, 235,000km and still not using a stitch of water or oil! Those damn VN V6 's are ace. As it was, I was glad the XU6 had cruise control.
