[VTC] Annual Cruise to Maroondah Dam - 1st October

Seeing as this is our largest event of the year, we thought that it would be appropriate to play our part in respect to Peter Brock, and hopefully this can be a great gathering to celebrate his life, his inspiration to us, and in turn what we live for - Toranas.
There will be a cheaply priced Barbecue lunch at the end of the run as always, and plenty of time to sit down and socialise after having a smooth cruise through the countryside on our way there.
If you've never been on this run, check out the Victorian Torana Club website's Past Events section for photos and a breif report on last year's event.
It is always quite a large run with between 30 and 40 Toranas there, this will be advertised in the major Newspapers and is open to the public. So invite your mates to come down and have a great day with the rest of us. Hopefully this year we can break last year's record and get even more than 33 cars.
Meet: Knox Club (Cnr. Stud & Boronia Rd), Eastern Suburbs of Melbourne.
Time: 9am
Cost: $5 per car
Hope to see you there
- Heath

I can't get there this year Heath, but I know everyone will enjoy the cruise.
If others haven't been on this one, GO!
It's definately well worth it.
Enjoy.

But yeah, I'm not desperate for a lift or anything at this stage so don't be afraid to fill up the hatch with people

I'm still assuming that this will be a decent turnout, but there hasn't been as much interest as I expected.
BTW It's just a gold coin donation now, not $5 a car (like the initial plan)
Invite your mates and enjoy the day
But just because you're not a member of the club does not mean you can bguck around, we have a very strong attitude against the wanker factor, I don't need to tell anyone what is illegal and what gives the club a bad name. Numberplates get reported if anyone screws around.

Good to hear you'll be there anyway, Matt why wouldn't the hatch be coming? Got some mechanical problems holding you back or something? BTW did my message get through on your home phone? I wasn't sure if it was the correct phone number or not...

At the ending destination we filled the carpark with Torries, got started with an excellent BBQ, had a successful raffle and auctioned off two posters signed by Peter Brock for charity. Thanks to all for attending, and man I'm a little stuffed so I'll post photos later probably...
My pics weren't great, I didn't get as many as planned, but I got some good group shots and that's what will go on the website.
Please send me some pics of that "SLRPWR" if you have any, I only got two pics and I want more

So what was it like, out of interest?

Only bad part of the day was that wanker in the ED smoking them up, what a fukking tool, I wish I got a video of him. Ahhh who cares; the practicality of having a police officer in your car club is tremendous.

Nice to hear you enjoyed the cruise anyway though, and I'll hope to see you at some more events in the future. Really sorry about the time, but I'm surprised that no one else rocked up early
