Hi all,

Just wondering if this size tyre will fit under the front end of an lx that has no flares and no mods to the inner guard?

Thanks

thats going to be a very big wheel diameter, i'm guessing it will probably fit ok (depending on the offset of the rims) but it will probably scrape when you turn.

That's quite a load on the front end isn't it?
How does a tyre of this size affect ball joints and the like?

Yeh this sized trye is pretty big...I was just wondering if they would fit cos I know there are some bridgestone eagers around that are 235's. However, after what has been said I won't go with size on the front and because of this I will probs go with either the yokohama 352 's or the radial t/a's. And I can't answer the question on the ball joints lol.

Thanks for all the help

i would have said not bloody likely, i had 225 on the front of a LX with flares and they still used to scrub on full lock

Yeah I think 205/60/14 is about your limit.

I disagree...

I ran 225/60/14's on my UC back in the day and had no dramas (it was lowered to - level with the guards). What i did notice was that i could not run a mudflap though... And to err on the safe side, i bent back the lip on the inside of the wheel arch at the footwells.

I also ran 235/60/14's and i scrubbed. But 225's were ok. All depends on the application. Hotwires were the wheel of choice in 235/60, but globe bathursts were used in 225/60.

For those interested...I was at my mates Tyrepower today and we chucked some 225/60R14 on the front end and they scrubbed the guards...It might just have been ok if I didn't have a front spoiler but i doubt it. We then put on 215/60R14 and there were no dramas

cheers
