The next generation of tires....AMAZING
Radical new tire design by Michelin. The next generation of tires.
They had a pair at the Philadelphia car show.
These tires are airless and are scheduled to be out on the market very soon .
The bad news for law enforcement is that spike strips will not work on these tires.
This is what great R&D will do, and just think of the impact on existing technology:
a... no more air valves
a... no more air compressors at gas stations
a... no more repair kits

These are actual pictures taken in the South Carolina plant of Michelin. It will be awhile before they are available to the automotive industry.

These may look good on a ricer but a Torana, YUK

Regards ........... Barry

i'd expect them to have walls, the side walls are probably not there for demonstration purposes. So you can see whats going on inside.

They are still testing them. And yes, there will be a sidewall when released to the public.

i heard they invented a tyre that does not lose tread at all and when they were about to release it all the tyre companies offered the inventor so much money to not release it and let the buyer buy it out and then the buyer just copyrighted it and it is never released as all tyre companies would go out of business

bastards

The video clip I have here shows hard cornering and braking without any problems, and they still somke up well too.
they have been around for a few years now, not yet released to the public tho.

Simply don't put it on in the first place. Either that, or make the tread compound harder than the road surface. Sounds like Aussie made Good Years to me.

Okay dude, if that were true, which I highly doubt, it'd be pretty awesome, an endless burnout lol

Althought, motorsport would be seriously changed

I'm not hatin the Player. and how the hell am i gunna hate the game of cars?

And you did say that you heard about it. Therefore, i was saying that the source you got it from was spinnin some shit, not you...

Liam, as Chopper explained before, the only way you could have a tyre that didnt lose tread would be to have a tyre compound harder than that of the road surface. Which means that they would be unsuitable for Motorsport.

And even if the Tyres didnt pop, I don't think you could acheive an endless burnout... Imagine the strain on the Engine, G'box and Diff...

They'd be unsuitable for more than just motorsport. you would simply be chewing through road surfaces constantly. I burnout would cause a pothole in the road, lol.

Make all roads out of rubber, and then make car tyres out of concrete.

simple.
