I have an LC XU1 but it has all LJ seats in it. Rather than go out and buy LC setas I was wondering is it possible to use LJ GTR seat frames front and rear and retrim them to suit an LC XU1. I am trying to get the car as original as possible. Cheers.

The lj gtr/xu1 rears are the same shape as lc gtr/xu1 even lc sl rears are the same as gtr/xu1
The fronts are alittle different, you will need to change bases of the lj's as they're wider than lc but im 99% sure the backs are the same hieght and width except they have the posts for head rest which can be removed when covering.

Actually the Rear seats are different.
I know this for sure as I just put my seats in to be trimmed by Aust muscle car interiors and Reg advised me that my back seat was actually an LJ frame and was different to the the LC.
Luckily for me he had a LC frame which he swapped for my LJ

around $1500 front and rear and the best original spec trimmer in the country.
(but not the fastest)
