I was thinking yesterday how cool a PS2 or xBox game would be that was sort of like v8 Supercars, but with the historic cars of Aussie touring cars. It could gave all the Torana's of course, falcons, Chargers etc. Could have Bathurst, Phillip island, Sandown and a few more. The game is already programmed, all they would have to do is modify it and put some old cars in it.

I reckon it would sell really well. We should lobby the game companies to produce something like it. I would hand over my hard earned for a game like that!!!!

Even put it in as a class in the V8Supercars game... Like Dattoman said, the Biante series...

XU-1's, L34's, A9X's, GTHO's, Monaro's.

That would OWN.

haha the biante series downunder the top car in the game would be stubbers camaro a car that practically lives sideways (take that u drifter fags) and finishes 1st

somehow i doubt that the computer gaming industry would have enough smarts to make up a game like this with all this soo called horror crap and stuff ...

It needs to be a group of enthusiastic semi-professional coders, all the driving sims you see in shops suck balls. Yeah a TOCA 3 with Classic Aussie vehicles would obviously still be on my "to buy" list, but it wouldn't be as good as say... 'Live For Speed' with Classic Aussie vehicles in it :D

I would love a game like that as well, but to be honest i don't think it would sell enough copies. Probably why its never been made. But we can hope...

Exactly, that's why you need semi-pro coders to make it, then it doesn't have to sell heaps. As long as a lot of people here about it, it's get good reviews, and their efforts are recgonized, they will be happy.

Some of the best games around aren't availible in shops

anyone remember the game sports car GT?

i cant remember the site now,but they made an add on for the game (which was the bathurst track)
and a heap of race toranas and ford GT's . and a whole heap of other cars.

it was pretty good actually racing at bathurst, there were no other games that had the bathurst track at that time,

and a fellow gmh-torana forumer from tassie - wackywheels made me my car to use in the game , it was identical except it had walkinshaw rims in the game.

cant find any of the files , maybe im not looking hard enough

will let you know if i find them

cheers

mick

GT Legends is great, its not aussie Holdens or Fords but its got some of the classics in it, (Mini's, Cortina, etc.) and one of the best simulated games i have ever seen.

Agree ^^, GT legends is the best, all muscle cars in that game and extremely realistic. Great online play to. If only they had aussie cars in it to, but hey, can't have it all.

I'd to see a game with all of Brockys cars in it. But yeah, wouldn't want to see it made for profits for a company, maybe if they somehow took a percentage from each sale and gave it to the Peter Brock Foundation.

^ hehe I think you've being a little optimistic, Dave.

A agree that GT Legends is quite a good one, I did enjoy playing that, but Live For Speed still takes the cake for me.

I'm waiting for a good modern racing sim that I enjoy with the popularity behind it. I'm a 3d games designer by profession and I wanna make at least an LC torana in detail.

If you had enough torana/holden enthusiasts like myself with 3d skills, you could chose a game platform and create a free 3rd party modification. Aussie cars + Aussie tracks. Mods are very popular in the First Person Shooter gaming communities.

But yeah, the most important thing is chosing a popular game that will get the attention and users, whats the point if no one will enjoy it :P Get those Holdens to the masses!
