I'll be there at the Nats on the saturday,no gtr but I plan on taking it there next year before it gets resprayed & if it I don't take it next year then I'll enter my mate's walkinshaw & drive that as he wont have a license for quite some time.

Same goes for me if I can make it I will be there on the Sunday only, and then depending on the car which right now is a nightmare lol

I cant possibly consider entering this yr as I cant afford to waste my entrance fee if the car is not going.

Next yr should be a different matter though.

The nats is getting close (around 6 weeks) and I was wondering whos going and how much has to be done to your car before you go down?
For some reason I always decide to do things to my car towards the end of the year, even thou I say to my self every time after the nats that I won't do that again. Its alot of time spent in the shed which is usually atleast 30 deg cause its summer and Im always busy at work leading up to Xmas.
Last year I was putting in a new glide and new interior.
This year its a little more.
My new engine is getting put together
I have a new 9' housing getting made
I have sand blasted and repainted K frame which has to be reassembled with all new bushes
I cleaned and painted the rear half of my undercarriage (what a c#!t of a job laying on your back on concrete painting tubs and floor pan)

And the whole thing needs to be put back together, lucky that toranas are easy to reassemble (apart from dropping in the chev & pipes). Ive posted some photos, but dont laugh at my spray painting, as it is the first time Ive ever used a spray gun. Overall I am happy with the job, it may have a few runs, but it is really glossy.
Is anyone else in the same vote, alot to do before heading to the nats. Post pics of your progress.

Hope you kick a couple of spare wheels under that car when you work on it, just so you only get a little bit squashed if it falls off the stands, and not 100% squashed.

You can but it is best to get tickets and camping before the event or get there very early to get the camping and a decent spot.

you will always remember your first trip to the nats. It is pretty full on and will blow you away

My car is clean and is not leaving the shed until the drive over.

Are we going to camp at the nats Makka? Gary said that when he went last year he just bought camping passes at the gate, and said that there was heaps of space etc left..
