Sorry guys.... a bit ricey for my liking.
19 inch chrome?..... ... on a Torana?...I just don't get it.

Still, each to their own....I must be ageing faster than I feel I am....

I don't quite get it either.

I figure, if you're happy to fork out big dollars for 19 inch rims and tyres, then you probably shouldn't be driving a oldschool Torana.

Those little Torana brakes look extra puny behind tall wheels.

I wont give my opinion on the wheels til i've seen a distant daylight shot!! I've got a mate up in Townsville who's just put 19" wheels on his torry too... It depends on the daylight distant photo before you judge them...

I'll take one set of those brakes for my UC, and one set for my LX... Do they come with JAW DROP CONTROL?? What size in mm are those brake rotors??

Cheers
Keith

No, but they do come with a racing harness to prevent you from putting your head through the windscreen.

Why is that?

torona kid : tyres are 235/40 series. I'm quite confident that 245-255 would fit without rubbing on the rear but then you wouldn't be able to rotate tyres.

dattoman: tell us more about this set up.

You will want bigger brakes for sure,I fitted 18in grange wheels on my lc,then put on 330mm brakes & they still look too small but I'm very happy with the way they perform.

Although I'd love a bigger set of brakes, front & back.

Nup.....not my cup of tea! You cant go past the 15" racing wheel for a torana like a weld or a convo pro etc. Bling bling wheels such as these belong on cars with not much else going for them (eg. rice) Torana's dont deserved to be riced up.

Please get rid of the above photo as its hurting my eyes!!!! :D

And crickey Datto, they would need 19's to cover those dinner plates.

There is another problem with bigs rims. I only have those 17's and I can't use my front spoiler as they catch.

Hi lxhatch jim & MRNOS. Just curious to the offset of those rims? You couldn't be so kind as to tell me could you? :D

Dattoman. I have a set of AP calipers for the front (and CP7607 series with 315mm discs for the rear). I have CRS drop axles (drilled to mount Commodore VT calipers) with hub adapters to run Commodore 330mm disc on the front. The front brake setup is the same as Phil is running on his Torana (but I believe he is using UC offset upper control arms.).

Are the adapters you are planning to design suited for direct mount to a Torana stub axle?

I reckon some of these large diameter wheels would look alright on a torana.

Ok..... my brain is in better condition today
Phils car used CRS dropped spindles setup for Commodore brakes
So the brackets I originally supplied didn't fit. He had to make his own and move the caliper around the disc slightly

Mine will run on original Torana stubs ......... when I get around to it

Antelope........ the rear setup sounds familiar ....... what part # are the front calipers ?

That place is in the States. There is a place locally who makes a copy of the HQ GTS rim in 17" and 18" up to 11" wide.
