308 TIMING CHAIN MARKS?

hi guys can anyone tell me how many links between the timing marks on a 308 timing chain?

9...i beleive there is a misprint in some of the elleries manaual? but it is 9....doesn't the chain come marked?

I have seen a chain with paler links for alignment.

I have seen a couple of brands without marks on them, just apply a couple of dots of white paint ..

9. The pictures in the Ellery's manual only shows 8, but it is definitely 9.

throw the tensioner in the bin you dont need it.
