Has anyone ever used these? Apparently you can lower your car cheaply with this item by clamping the coils and pulling them closer together, thus avoiding cutting springs.

Any side affects? do they work?

forget that, grab an oxy, or better still but new springs to suite your car.

Dont clamp your springs to lower your car - that only causes damage.

Buy new, or reset your old ones + shortened shocks if you want to lower it. Doing it the dodgy way may be cheap and effective now, but down the line, you're going to regret it when you need major repairs done to the car.

Plus - they are illegal, so if your car went over the pits - you be bgucked

my brother had a set of these in his commo for a while, they kept popping off, im with the oxy idea, grind off a loop or two, the use an oxy to heat and bend the top rung back to the way it was and your'e done.
