Well fellars i have been talking about widening a lc to look like a hk for a long time now and just a month or so ago i took the step to doing this.
it started with a lc 2 door that i pick-up from the gold coast a couple of years back, this car was rusty as all fxxk but the outter wheel arches where needed for the restore of my 71 lonaranger bathurst car, so once i ripped them out i was left with a skeleton, well to cut a long story short, the plane is to make this thing fly.
i dont know if im going with a blown 540 big block with 1500 hp are a twin turbo with 1800 plus hp, im not sure how long this will take, but has you can see by the pics i have hooked in.

ENJOY

no mate it will have a uc front crossmember, and all panels will be lc streched or modified, the only problem i see will be the hatch for the back, but i have come on to a number of ideas, everything will be dumby up and fitted then all rip aparts and blasted, this car will never see rust again
this car will be built for the show and go side of things, if we can get it street regoed we will but that will be lucky to happen
the paint will be lonaranger with the hq gts strips it will have twin harly fuel fillers, and also have a a9x style drop tanks, twin vh44 brake boosters, i aiming at makein every thing i can in house.

This what happens when a man wants a "bigger" Torana but NOT a LH/X or UC.
Building his own as, in his heart, he knows Holden got it wrong! :tease:

Nice work! :spoton:

I dident think you would let this become public knoladge so soon john. But oh well its out now. As for your question about the HK seats, i would say yes go with them. Your widening the car so if you dont widen all the interior it will look weird inside. I would use the HK seats and even thought you cant now becuase you have allready done your floor i would have kept a rounded tunnel so it all looks stock and not drag looking. That way you can still have a centre console that looks correct and so on.
