Gong,

Having ideas dreams, and ambitions are one thing. We all have them.

You live them. Your work is crazy. Your garage is an artists den.

One question- what determines the width of the car. Is it the width of the UC front end you are putting on ?

Bloody awesome looking project, just a quick question about the sheet metal floor, does it have any kind of bracing underneath? wouldnt it flex a bit if it didnt?

keep up the good work and keep the pics coming!

Fatlh5000, no mate even the uc frontcrossmember will need mods, the width was determend on the roll of the roof and 2nd the fit of a big block, the floor was lifted 35mm and the rail will be 25 mm deeper.

the floor should not be a problem its made of 2mm steel, but it will have 3 times 2 mm by 25mm braces that blend to the floor along with full tailsharft loop and other stuff.

shadowmaster, hey buddy, i was going with the statesmaan floor but the hours and look never suited, this floor once finished with the little finner details will look alot better than any seen before, and will take the sheetmetal look to a diffrent level, i am only dummy fitting the car atm, and like anything, sometimes thay change has you go, how many time do you see a little restore turn into a big going over.

thanks heaps for the input fellars, and if anyone has and not done before ideas, fling it my way.
cheers gong

Be interesting to see the project come along! Fast cars are always awesome!

Mate this is awesome
Have you considered using a Corvette suspension system, nice looking alloy arms, should suite this beast. Maybe even an LT5 but they are pricey.

Keep going mate nice work :spoton: :spoton: :spoton:

hi fellars, it will have a modified ss hatch, but made my way, and there is 2 ways i can go with the grill, one is hand 2 over to my jewler mate, or i can have the light serounds and grill made into one fibreglass peice.

there is no dobt that these things can be sorted out, the only thing we need to remeber when building a car like this is that the first answer is not always the best one,,,..

cheers gong

Thats right Gong, brainstorming and thinking even more out of the box, always returns even better ideas than the first one!

Have the same problems with designs at work.... The first one is ok.... But when you push harder and get more creative... Your end idea is 1000 Times better than the first idea!

This should be a great thread to follow!
