Coming along sweet!!

There were four Phase 3's made in 1 off colours....Vintage Burgundy, Onyx Black, Royal Umber and Bold Blue.

That car must be worth a fortune :)

Has it made a noise yet ?

no not yet wayne

Yep, still going bingo barry

a bit more today;

finished the rear quarter windows, had to paint the air duct as it had over spray on it and also some staples were stuffed so re wired then back up.

err and all the dudes that say a GTR has no air dam, well this one does.

One last piece of the puzzel that I have been trying to solve was the heater cable with a good grommet, Dane ( sunburst offered one , thanks dane very much appreciated  ) but aldo came up with a virtually new one that's been in storage for 15 years so it's the last engine part that was missing. The rubber is brand new so I'm stoked.

PS if any one needs there rear quarter windows done with the original " tape " and not sika flex then you can PM me and I will re do the window. I'm pretty good at it now.

It's slowly getting there keep up the good work grant.

Regards John.

Yeah John, slowly chipping away at it.

John / Potta

there was a big decision made and it related to the battery position. because the original panel beater forgot to put the battery tray in when painted the engine bay we needed to make a call on where to put the battery. putting a new tray in the engine bay meant drilling new holes bolting and squashing in forward to miss the carbies.

So I went for a neater solution and put the battery in a box with an isolator switch in the boot, now it's done the engine bay just looks a lot neater , so whilst it's a little off standard Im happy with the decision now.

Its all finished apart from running wires for the thermo fan which will be done today, so looks like it will be about next tuesday.

I was even dreaming about starting up the engine last night in my sleep !

carpet and seats will be in by next tuesday.

I'm also spewing as when I was putting in the lower dash i scratched the painted metal facia under the radio cut out - I really cannot believe after all this effort  that I did it , just f#$ked up

also bought a NOS dog leg bracket for the rat trap off ebay which was exactly what i needed, seems like the torana gods are bringing me just the part i need at the right time , I was in the process of repairing my old one this weekend so it can go on the car on monday

 A bit more

You certainly got that right Mick ???

Wayne and Mick you both jinxed me, F#%#ken C@%R,

so the interior is in and we are at the engine builders and we start looking at the extractors where there are hitting the top control arm, so we start on this long discussion about how to get these extractors to fit or better still bend two of the pipes so we can get " caster " on the passenger side wheel.

they both  look , go quiet , check a motor up the back with the engine mounts still on as it came out of the car and point out that there is a " long and short one " and mine are on back the front DOH !!!

so lets hope that tomorrow when they are swapped around this will solve the problem otherwise it's surgery on the extractor's.

it's like pulling teeth
