BTW...not sure if these are the look you are chasing, or if they are in the right setup you need, but could get them pretty right..

(they come in a couple different widths and offsets)

Yep...thought so ,but just thought I would toss them up for the heck of it (they are cheap at least, lol)

Did you try Budnik as well ? They are local here at least so might save a little time with getting them to me once made in comparison to Billet Specialties. Just a thought anyways :)

I just rang my mate there too...see if he had any centers he could build into wheels, but nothing really like what you are chasing either....Hmmmm...

If you do decide on anything, feel free to holler if I can help out at all on them!

Hi Jeff,

Have you ever sent diff centres over for forum members? Or more specifically, not an entire centre with gears but just a tru-trac or similar?

I'd be keen to know if there is money to be saved or not, absolutely itching to get myself a 9" Eaton tru-trac (31 spline) to replace my mini spool in the LX.

Cheers,
Brett.

Will be starting to load in a week...

Dramas here at the port with labor issues, hopefully they pull their fingers out and get back to it soon at least!

Seems like everytime you have some containers to get out there are labour issues on the dock. Obviously your not paying them enough :)

I was told they are making $175k plus a year....for a lot of them.

Not sure how they get by..

So far it has just been a "work slow down" here at the ports of LA and Long Beach (side by side...and the busiest ports in the USA) but the past 3 days, and including tomorrow it has been a stop work all along the western US coast apparently.

There are bunchs of ships lined up along the coast stuck and no able to load or unload.

Hopefully they'll sign the new contracts!    At the moment I have heard that things will be a week or two behind leaving on time.

Still will load and hopefully things get sorted out, makes for a hassle for sure!  (Let alone for all the fresh food, etc that is stuck wth going bad..)

With the american dollar skyrocketing they might be out of their 175k jobs pretty soon, I stopped buying stuff from the states as at the moment all the stuff I'm interested in is just not worth it anymore. Hope this US dollar inflation hasn't slown down your business.

I've been at this for a while and the dollar going up and down is just part of it... it was below 50 cents, and I was still loading away with stuff...and it was $1.10 or what ever...and every where in the middle.  Just a matter of rolling along with it.  And even in the 70's, there is still usually a decent price difference on many things.  (Not always, but on many things)

I'm looking for a 68-72 vette convertible and a 65 mustang convertible at the moment but states are just not worth the hassle with current conversion pricing. They seem to be around the same price here and I can go and have a look at them here instead of buying cat in a bag cheap respray resto cars, so yes some things aren't worth it anymore.

No kidding ! But the unions seem to control it all, and they want more...

And yes, some good things there too for the money. Like I said, not everything is always a deal, but it depends on just what stuff people are chasing and where here you find them. Being on the ground makes a bit of a difference in lots (but not all of course) cases.

I think another thing that will happen, is prices there will slowly go up on some things as well, as people realize they will have to replace the stuff at the higher dollar, not at what they might have bought the "stuff" at.

Yes I do agree that some thing will go up here in price but not US cars, they already have a tough time selling them at current pricing.

Still slow at the ports, but I am starting to load Monday and hopefully the "work slow down" gets sorted out soon ! (I'll be loading for a couple weeks, so see what happens with containers getting out with delays and such, hopefully not toooooooo bad)
