Nice work, did you press the old bushes/balljoints out yourself? I'm about to do this myself & fit the new ones myself too, i'll paint them after so i don't scratch the paint. The wire wheel on the bench grinder brings the steering arms etc up nice, wish i had access to one, i used a wire wheel on my angle grinder but it didn't bring my parts up anywhere near as well as yours.

Thanks Guys, the wire wheel I just got at the hardware store. It does put a bit of strain on the bench grinder so I don't do a heap with it but it's a lot easier than a wheel on the drill ay.
I did knock all the bushes out myself. Using a vice and a big center-punch does the trick, there is a bit of bashing to do, but hit in the right spot they arn't too hard to get out. The top ball-joints I just grind the top on the pins down, then center-punch them through. Cheaper than getting the suspension joint to do it.

I decided on a charcoal for the front end components, the Paint is an Enamel Hammer Tone which I went for for a few reasons. Firstly it's shinny off the gun, secondly its easy to use and doesn't run easily, it dries quick. They use this stuff on trailers, truck chassis etc it tuff as. I tried to put lots of thin coats on so it wouldn't hammer toooo much otherwise it kind of looks pitted but I think it came up ok.

Now I'll take it to pedders for springs, shocks and assembly. Then I can sort the brake kit out. Anyone got any recommendations other than the obvious kit??

Got a bit done today, put an order in with hoppers for the 290mm kit, took the front end down to pedders in the gully for new springs/shocks/sway-bar and to assemble everything. Got home disassembled the steering rack, cleaned it up and got some paint on it, see how it comes up in the morning.

Picked up the front end yesterday, it has new springs and shocks and should sit 50mm lower than standard. Unfortunately the Stub-axels were installed on the wrong ends (which I did say to install with Calipers to the rear for the hoppers kit) so I spent time today swapping them over. Also no bump-stop rubbers were installed so I will need to drop the ball joint off the top arm again to put some new ones in. I will also need to touch up the paint a bit where it has chipped. I'm picking up the sway bar tomorrow which mounts facing to the front and the brake kit should turn up mid-week so as long as I can get the front end finished by then I'll be happy.

Cheers
Tefa

Not much of an update, but got the rest of the rubbers/bump-stop's today at rares (except for the rack boots which are coming) so I popped the top control arm (again) and inserted the top bump stop. Also did the touch up of the paint and started setting the rack up.

I'm going to pull mine apart soon to clean it up and paint it. Have you got any tips that you learnt whilst doing this? Or is it fairly straight forward? :)
