still looks a little rough, but there is plenty of high-fill on there to smooth it all out

At the moment I'm thinking voodoo, I have a ve ute in it and really like the color (when its clean) but it could be a while away yet. I'm trying to sort out the rear end for some mini tubs at the moment and this needs a budget on its own with engineering costs, construction, etc. Anyone know any chasis fabricators keen true cashies?

Great start mate n im looking forward to seeing it although a way off in colour :)
Im not sure if its just my pc but the pics ur uploading are MASSIVE and sometimes quite blurry. Perhaps reduce the size and stand a little back. If its just my pc ,continue on and GOOD LUCK with the build :)

Quick update, slapped the bottom end together now waiting on heads, cam and some valvetrain. Decided to mask up the block for some color.

Body shop now have this stuff that you don't need to prime or clear, and go's over Ally. The dude at the shop had two Ally pipes there on the counter painted in this stuff, he smashed them together to show that the paint doesn't chip

note that the timing cover and pump were bead blasted first, I couldn't be bothered de-buring the block.

Quick update, picked up the camshaft - specs - Solid roller, .577 Gross lift INT/EXH, valve timing @.050 OPEN- INT:18 EXH:58 (BTDC) CLOSE- INT:50 EXH:10 (ATDC)
should be pretty off tap. Just need to dial it in properly, got a rollmaster muli keyway set as well. Also got a custom oil pick-up tube which I unfortunately had to mod a bit to fit the HE sump correctly, anyway here are a few pics of the sump dummied up etc.

Footy season over, time to get back into it. Started stripping the under side back to bare, did it in thirds. Haven't done the rear section yet cos I'm waiting to see what happens with the rear arches
