I know this has probably come up before but my search efforts yielded no answers. Please don't yell at me!

Recent events have lead me to question my inner most beliefs. So the question is. which do you prefer, LC or LJ and why. Hopefully this will help me make up my mind

I used to hate LC's and love LJ's. Nowadays i'm really into LC's whilst retaining attraction to LJ's. The problem is i like both the same and would not know which to choose if i was presented with the opportunity to own either an LC XU1 or an LJ XU1. This is a very distressing thought and is not helped my inherent indecisiveness. Also perceived features related to one and not the other would be interesting to know.

Obviously as an lj owner I prefer them a little more, however i do have a soft spot for the lc gtr!
I think its the combination of tail lights and blackouts that look awesome.

But before i got mine i was looking at both, its soughta the same as the lh lx debate

However i must say i prefer the lj dash without the hump in the middle

Having owned both, I'd take the LC. I know there's only a few outside/inside differences but the LC just seems to have that little bit more style about it. To me anyway.

The LH/LX are near identical compared to the LC vs LJ. Apart from the square LH lights (which most seem to have lost over the years) you're hard pressed to pick the difference by eye unless you're right into the smaller details like the trim options etc.

i mostly prefer the first of the stylings, so LC,LH,HK,HJ even a XW gtho11 they all seem a bit rawer, not so fancy and refined.
Back to the question, i like the LC GTR the best out of the small Toranas

i look at the 2 like women, the lc been sexy and stylish and the lj having the fatness and grunt.

I couldn't really pick between them both. I would hapily have either of them. I have an LJ now but i could of quite easily bought and lc if there was one when i was hunting for my first car.

The LC grill is really growing on me i like how it is very era 'metal bumper' specific whereas the LJ grill is, uhh, plastic fantastic. The LJ grill looks good from some angles but if you look at it dead on squatting down it looks like a character from cars the movie. I have to say i prefer the LJ taillights but not with a spoiler. My only problem with LC is the rear quarter indicators, damn ugly if you ask me!

Is it just a case of welding on two pillars in the lc front end in order to attach the LJ grille. I always saw myself as an LJ man and not sure how i would go owning an LC lol.

The LC design is much more ornate and stylish in comparison to an LJ. No different to comparing HK to HT or G.

The LC XU1 is a rough and raw road racer while the LJ XU1 is softer and more refined. An LJ is a better overall package but less challenging. Drive them back to back and it's obvious.

i wouldnt know any cops to pick on a torana. probably pull you over to have a look!!

is the conversion bolt on or do you need to weld on some inserts?

LC grill / front end looks so much better l reckon. I also prefer LC taillight section. Also in GTR spec the LC wins hands down on a looks basis. Anyway that's my opinion and why l went looking for LC over LJ.

Its like the 2 door 4 door debate. U have to do WHAT YOU WANT. Again I like all old cars and own a lj but didn't go looking for it it found us its quite the he'd turner down

compere the lc-lj toranas with the spitfire the best piston engine fighter ever built .the lc is mk1 the lj the mk8 . they are like a fine bottle of wine only gettinh better with age.

but they won every other race in 71 and to put it the easy way, the 71 bathurst xu1 won more races then the 72 and 73 xu1s put together...

I own an LJ but honestly i think the LC's are sex on wheels.

I always find myself looking at them longer than i should.

The GTR interior with those cool door cards etc. Big old steering wheel.
Key start on the lower dash.

just does i for me.

i love this! i must say i dont like the rally striped for some reason?

LC tail lights look the best with a bob tail, LJ lights look the best without the spoiler. interior is great not sure if i prefer the LJ dash or not. did the lc gtr door cards come with the xu1 as well?
