I have owned both but back in the day I actually preferred the LJ over the LC ,but as I aged and matured somewhat my tastes changed, firstly my old LJ GTR was much smoother and refined than my LC,overall a lovely car with that beautiful Mustard yellow finish but it had the same stock standard 202 as a Kingswood with a single barrel, although the gearbox was so much nicer.

What the LC gains on the LJ is the stripes, interior appearance, a lumpy cam with a two barrel carb, overall a more of an old school package than the LJ in my eyes, don't get me wrong though I would still love my old mustard LJ back in my garage,RMH 881, where are you?

"Cheers"
Alf

For a regular 2 door/ 4door I could go either way.

For GTR I think this pic is self explanitory:

For xu1 its gotta be an LJ. Purely for performance.

i wouldnt know any cops to pick on a torana. probably pull you over to have a look!!

is the conversion bolt on or do you need to weld on some inserts?

Pity, but most of the cops these days wouldnt even know what they were looking at if they pulled a tory over, theyd be looking for blowoff valves, blue silicon hose and fully sik sub woofers.

I own and slightly prefer the LJ. I still like the LC's however and I gotta agree that the LC GTR had a great look.

the more i look at the lc the more i love it. i think its a lot about exposure too. tbh i really don't see many toranas in the flesh so i cant make up my mind. some pictures are great of the lc/lj some are not. need to see them in real life to appreciate the true beauty
