There both frOckin Awesome.

Back to the OP, if i was given the option of owning either a LC gtr xu-1 or a LJ gtr xu-1, both totally stock and unmolestered, i'd pick the LJ due to the bigger capacity bigger carbs bigger cam running development etc etc etc....

But that silly scenario aside, There both up there with the greatest cars on earth. Trailing perhaps the HB......

Cheers.

i like the lc's for the chrome grille and tail lights. Just a pity they need the rear quarter indicators.

LC or LJ, love em both, as long as it's got six in line that's what matters.

I think its cause they are the only visible blinkers from side on. The rear tail light indicator in the LC is on the inside, whereas the LJ is on the outside.

Correct.

Also its a convenient way to pick LC's that have been converted to LJ from 50 meters away.

Cheers.

My ideal would be LC Front, LC Trim and LJ rear.......I'd do it too, if not for every second Torana Enthusiast hanging Sh#t on me about it. I just love the Body Shape thats all...doesnt matter to me whether its either LC or LJ

Yes, minor chassis differences, mostly anal stuff like brackets in slightly different spots, couple of extra braces, etc etc.

And yes, tail lights are a swap over, think the bulb holders are different from memory.

Cheers.

oh, were there any differences in the LC to LJ in the gearbox crossmember bolt holes? If there is thats probably where CRS went wront with mine. I though the LC and LJ's were the same underneath. Gee the things ya learn on this site.

3 speed manual and Aussie 4 speed in LC and LJ used the same crossmember position. Opel crossmember was in the furthest forward holes. Not sure if the holes for the Opel crossmember were in the LJ subframe though.

LC gtr is a mad looking car has raw character and with all the gtr stripes and trim its is just nicer then the LJ. Also had more stainless chrome inside and out. the colour that the LC came in were great as well.
Had a LC and now have a 66 SS IMPALA BOTH MAD LOOKING CARS but the LJ is still nice and is a great muscle car. if I won the lotto I would buy one of each cheers
