What sort of metalflake are you going to use on the roof? I used spray chief shim'r on my ute as I find it one of the easiest to use. It's a candy metalflake, so the colour and flake are already mixed. It goes over a black base and turns out really well. Just in case you didn't know : )
I love the old kingy wagons, good for you for saving another one. I can't wait to see it finished.
Here's the ute, so you can see how the paint looks, even though the photos don't do the metalflake justice.

Just hose it on and carve out a panel.
This tailgate is still not that good.It looks pretty straight,but it has some terminal rust issues in the inner frame.
So if anybody out there has a mint HT wagon tailgate,Im interested.
