Heres some progress pics.

I started using the buff on the white but my technique is shabby(I went through here and there and knocked off a couple of edges)

I can blow the white back in later, not so with the metalflake,so I decided to hand buff the roof, rear deflector and sun visor.

Posted Image
Posted Image

I got the brackets and screws that hold the rear deflector chromed as well.

This pic is for Heath

The visor

Blew some acrylic satin black in behind the grille too.

Posted Image

and got the bonnet and the tops of the gaurds pretty well polished.

Posted Image
Posted Image

I redid this area by hand because I was unhappy with the way I machine buffed it.

Thats where its at.

Next update hopefully it will be finished.

I finally got it back together yesterday and after a quick detail I used a tank of juice up today cruising about and being a poser in general.

Here are some pics.

If somebody would do a bit of a photoshop on this pic dumping the car on its guts with gold wheels I would be stoked.

Not sure I helped too much but top result mate.:clap::clap::clap:

My brother Glenn had one very similar as his first car (bought it from the woman in the drive thru bottle shop at the Wagon Wheel Hotel in St Marys) and we hooned around in that thing like wild banshees.

ENJOY!!!!

This isn't much chop (excuse the pun), but it should give you a reasonable idea. The lowering is a must I would say, even though it's kinda cool not lowered at all

I was going to do some really witty things like saying 'are these the kind of gold wheels you want?' putting like 25" 150 spoke Dayton nigger wheels on it etc but I was a bit lazy so I just did what you wanted instead.

I'm so boring, I'd probably just drop it on black stockies with white ring tyres :P

But it's kinda cool as is, and I'm sure you could do heaps of different things and they would all look cool. I'd be interested in step up lip 15"s on the back, or some trim rings, or a flick of metallic paint on the wheels etc. I quite like the hubcaps as is though

How about a 2 door version?

It's bodgy, but you get the drift.

Looks killer! Love it!

Widened/deep-dish gold stockies with those centre caps? Looks like you could go a couple of inches wider no probs?
