Radially mounted so easy to make a bracket
Plus $220 for some tasty pads

not having a go at you, but I find that hard to beliveOne thing with Brembos is that rebuild kits are not available. Full stop. If a seal leaks the only option is to buy a replacement caliper.

Go to any Ducati forum and ask the question - or try a Porsche forum. It is very hard to get seals to rebuild a caliper - you can buy a replacement but struggle to get parts - bleed nipples are easy to get though. Whether it is a way of increasing the cost of spares or reducing the liability risk (being sued - ala USA) no-one has really said but that is the most likely theory.

we really should do a comaprison of different combos calipers rotors etc, also costs envolved etc
basically just having a list of whats possible, what works, and how they compare with eachother. im sure im not the only one that wants to know these things. would make for a good sticky and hopefully clear things up a bit for us all.
cheers

There are so many different calipers, wallet sizes , wheel sizes and offsets to have a database
Eveyone thinks they can get some cheap calipers off "something" and make them fit
There are established kits........ buy them if you liek them........ don't if you don't
Set a budget, wheel size , expectations you expect from the car and I'll throw some suggestions around.

If you need something before then I'll put you onto someone over your neck of the woods who might be able to help
They don't have any Torana kits yet though and would need to be developed (they do HQ kits though if you have HQ stubs)
As a guide (approximate)
2 pot kit $1200
4 pot kit $3000
6 pot kit $4000
15" wheels for 2 pot
17" wheels for 4 and 6 pot

Most AP's are radially mounted and a bracket needs to be fabricated
Assuming 17" wheels as a minimum and for street use I'll suggest this
1. Go buy some disc stubs...... drum stubs will be a time consuming PITA
2. DBA019 disc (undrilled and redrill to required pattern if different to Commodore) 330mm x 28mm
3. CP5200 AP 4 pot caliper ($730 each)
4. Custom make bracket to suit (I haven't got around to this yet..... thats what Chopper is waiting for me to make)
5. Custom braided hoses
6. FRP216H brake pads (Ferodo DS2500 - $230)
The its just a matter of making it fit
Enjoy

It even bolts to the same bracket as the 5200
For a 32mm thick disc ala 5055 then you'd need a CP5555
Though...... in the very near future I will have access to some other AP's with proper dust boots that are more suitable to street use
They are very similar to the AP's on HSV's and may even be slightly cheaper
Still suit the 019's though

Then some development time to design the bracket
Then some time to have it made
Soon
