Hey Tiny.... I should be able to get my Torrie out in Jan but my car is not registered.... I thought I read recently that it dosent need to be... does anyone have any ideas.... yes my car is a full circuit racing car... I would be interested to see what she would do... yes I have drag raced before at other street meets... Calder and Adelaide etc...

As far as i know you can race but they do scruttineer
the car for safety

Hey LXChev366! I belive they allow cars like yours to race, but as keith said it will obviously get scrutineered! It would be UNREAL to see it out there!!

I might make a call to WSID ( or maybe keith can ask the marshals on friday night??) exactly if you would be allowed to race!

I think we should pick a friday night in late january that suits people and book it in! Remeber we;ve gotto let WSID know at least a week in advance ( 2 to be safe), and weve gotto get ourselves organised!!

We;'ve had around 9 people show interest so i'll put up a poll to see which of the last two fridays in january people would prefer!

Ok... well ive got some bad news!!

I just looked on the WSID site.. and there are no Fridays listed for January!!!!!!

Looks like we'll have to settle for a wednesday, or hope like hell that they put some in there!

I know that i will NOT be able to go this year due to work, money and car problems... so we're either in the shit.. or we better start lobbying WSID to put some in for next year!!!

run Friday nites next year & i will be
getting ready for Kandos Street
Machine Show at the end of January.

I emailed WSID to ask wether they would be running friday night meets in '07 and this is the reply i recieved today:

Hi Rob

Thank you for your enquiry. At this stage the �Full Throttle Friday� events are being run on a trial basis, scheduled to conclude on December 15. So far, unfortunately, two of three Friday nights have been weather-affected.

I am unable to confirm, at this stage, whether the events will be reinstated in 2007. However, if we keep in touch I�ll be able to advise you accordingly as soon as I know.

I thought it was great that they got back to me and very quickly, And lets hope that they do decide to run more friday nights!
We might have to start up a petittion to show the support for the friday events!

Car is raceable, thought not sorted yet...

Would be interesting to see what times it would do as it is, before fitting the converter and regraphing the dizzy!
