the VIN breakpoints for the introduction of front amber turn signals for HQ/LJ models is as follows (this info is from the service note):
Brisbane - from H260864 on. (first LJ with amber lenses produced on the 06.12.72)
Adelaide - from L226136 on. (first LJ with amber lenses produced on the 12.12.72)
The service note advises to use a double filament globe as the lamp base was not changed, just the park lamp wiring was removed, and that not to attempt to use a single filament bulb.
