Can't complain with a time like that mate!

Was it your first time at the drags or have you done it a few times before?

We have some VERY tough torries on here! Its great!

Feel free to continue this thread and we'll make it a sticky eventually.

BTW... ive run 12.4 @111 Mph in the monaro.

Cheers!

HAHAHAH

Fortunately were talking about a paved surface HOPEFULLY with some kind of traction compound!

Though, I have seen some 1/4 mile stretches that make the mind boggle in the way your talking about! Alot of my mates are fairly seriously into 4x4ing. ToranaJudd has a machine that you could happily line up against too! LOL

Cheers :spoton:

On the old forums, some members posted timeslips and I made THIS page to list them all. The timeslips are gone, but most if not all of the then Mods/Admins can verify the times were posted. Keithy's_UC, I'll modify the page later to include your time.

Keithy am i reading this right.... does it say your first reaction time was 7 seconds...
obviously it wouldnt be, because then you would have ran 9 or somethin seconds...

It appears that way. The timers don't start until the vehicle actually starts moving.

What u mean by that chopper?

doesnt the timer start as soon as the light goes green?
and the reaction time is how long from when the light goes green till you actually start moving?

When the light goes green, THe timer starts, but that only times your reaction time. Your Elapsed time only begins when your car moves out of the staging beam.

Your ET may be lower than your RT if your waiting for turbos to spool up etc. Thats why the rules for racing against another compeditor make it so that you cant out wait them!

What u mean cant out weight them?

If 2 cars race
car A) RT-0.05 sec.... ET 15sec
carB ) RT-2.00 sec.... ET 14sec

who would be called the winner?car a crossed finish first. car b had quicker ET.

The winner would depend on what bracket they are racing in. If it was a dial your own bracket then car A could win if he crosses the line first and doesnt go under his dial in. Car B would win if car A broke out. If they both broke out then the winner could be either depending on the rules.
Or in heads up car A would win because he crossed the line first.

Cheers
Adam

Also take look here for drag racing info. Great info actually!

Cheers.

Copied from the above post... the one i forgot to put the link in... IDIOT! :fool:
See below... hehehe

Taken from QUIT MOTORPLEX DRAG RACING HOW TO...

Working The Lights
Before diving into an explanation of how to "cut a good light", you must remember three things.

1. Each lane is timed independently of the other, and
2. The timers do not start when the green light comes on!
3. The timers only start when your vehicle moves out of the stage beams

Have a read of that page.. there really isnt alot more to know about the racing itself!
Cheers.
