Missed it on the news and can't be bothered with U-tube. Does sound like it's getting out of conrol thou. At the end of the day all criminal behaviour is not punished heavily enough.

My apologies Chamois Hatch, there was no sarcasm intended at all, I was stating it was easier for me to quickly reply than do a search for a previous thread to link you to..........
thats cool DA
and i see that the government doesnt subsides other sports, like u mentioned, however it spends millions on add campaigns which are pretty useless and labels all P platers in the same group. media does its damge as well. so what in saying is that the money could/should be better spent.
its a funny thing. once i left my lights on in the torrie and went to work. i had 3 people ask if i was the p plater and then told that my lights were on. no one said green car, torana, car with the big shiny drop tank. it was just P PLATER.
doesnt give any one a right to take it to the streets......if they do the full force of the law should be applied.
im a law abiding citizen with all my points on the license. so i agree with you totally on that one.
one more year and all this p plate bullshit will be over for me. cant wait.

DA sorry mate pushbikes and model planes wont ever replace cars and drag racing etc. for me NEVER.My apologies Chamois Hatch, there was no sarcasm intended at all, I was stating it was easier for me to quickly reply than do a search for a previous thread to link you to..........
Chamios Hatch, we've been over this one b4. Its easier to reply than do a search though....
sarcasm like that is unwarranted, i was stating a point thats is relavent to the topic, so there is no reason to read old threads.
you state your point, relavent or not, and thats OK.
For someone who sooks about personal attack you dish some out as well. There are cheaper, environmentally friendly, lower risk and higher physical activity pastimes that all our hoons could be involved in to occupy their spare time, governments needs to tackle the problem of changing this culture
i, like most, would like to hear your suggestions, you either have some or you dont.
and why should the drag racing culture be changed? some people like to play tennis, go shopping, others like drag racing and playing mechanic. its only a problem when done on the street. this is what the authorities should be focusing on. not suppressing drag racing in general as you suggest.
As for pastimes, yes its a free country, but there is a difference between what we may want to do and what is reasonably possible and economical.
I dont have a problem with people competing in drag racing, pay their own way, have fun. As you realise it is not an inexpensive sport, just like flying light aeroplanes or large yacht racing or other forms of motor racing etc, it shouldnt be subsidised by the government. So if people cant afford it, thats too bad- doesnt give any one a right to take it to the streets......if they do the full force of the law should be applied.
Other pastimes? perhaps something on two wheels with no motor, a lot of people have fun with that.
