How does it happen?......a bit technical.......it leaves the water for the atmosphere.

chlorine has a lower specific heat so evaporates out of the water yes?

Distilled or reverse osmoisis water is water you want to use.Tap water has to many heavy metals,chlorine, iron oxide(good ol perth water)etc.
These to are the cleanest and most pure water you will get that is redily avalible.
Did a repair to aussie dessert cooler rad the other day,i must say it was a far better quality than one i have seen previuosly.

Yes and no. Yes it has a heat capacity much less than water, no, that's not why it leaves the water.chlorine has a lower specific heat so evaporates out of the water yes?
The reason it decides to leave the water is because of its very low boiling pt....
~-35C. Only small amounts of it will dissolve in water in the 1st place, much like CO2 in a fizzy drink.
I do have some reservations with my earlier advice, even though water can be dechlorinated to the point that it cant be tasted or smelt by leaving it sit exposed to the air, there is still other "stuff" left in there.
